Since 3 February 2024 the competition has been called VDH-Pokal by Viktor's Dartshop. Viktor Wecker donated the new challenge trophy; the old one had been given away, because Ricklinger Moskitos had won it for the third year running in 2023 and were allowed to keep it.

The Final Four on 9 November 2024 at Das Vikings went to the Moskitos again, ahead of DC Veteranos Springe, DC The Warriors and Alfelder Löwen 3. A year later the run ended: in 2025 Alfelder Löwen 2 won.

Until then the season ran from August to July. From 2022 the VDH plays the calendar year, January to November, with 118 teams in 15 divisions.

On 26 November 2022 a VDH champion was played out for the first time, at Das Vikings. DC Ricklinger Moskitos beat Ricklinger Wölfe; the match was abandoned at 9:8 after an assault and two disqualifications.

On 11 December the club presented itself in the foyer of the ZAG Arena at the Recken match against TVB Stuttgart, with dart machines and the champion honoured at half-time.

On 16 March 2020 everything stopped: cup, ranking, league. The charity tournament with a PDC player on 10 April was cancelled, and the five qualifiers were broken off.

56 people joined the club in 2020; the year before it had been 280. 2021 brought no full season either: from September to November the club played the SRL, a shortened round with 60 teams in 16 divisions.

In 2014 the boards of the DLHN and the DU began planning the merger of the two clubs. On 18 January 2015 the outline concept was presented to the DU members at an extraordinary general meeting at the SnooBi.
The 2015 annual general meeting was held in three parts:

• DLHN only
• Together as VDH

Under agenda item 2, the DU's new name was also approved with 115 votes (7 abstentions, 4 against); since then the club has been called "Vereinigte Dartliga Hannover e.V.", VDH for short.

In 2013 the DDSV launched the Bundesliga Nord. The Undertaker have represented the DU there ever since. Since the merger, DC Treff Nix from the DLHN has also been entered in the Bundesliga for the VDH. In the meantime the Ricklinger Moskitos and the Erzengel have worked their way up to the top division as well.

In 2012 the DU joined the Lower Saxony and the German darts federations. Since then DU/VDH members have been able to take part in state and German championships.

Dieter Rosenthal took over as sports officer; later Mareike Jürges succeeded Sylvia Dehmel.

On 27 February 2010 the DU's first cup final was held at the HSC. Matthias Hentschel, the landlord of the HSC, had come up with something special – he had built a small "stage" so that the dart machine stood on a podium about 40 cm high. For many players it was new territory to play on a stage in front of around 50 spectators. You can literally feel every eye on you. The heavily favoured Undertaker faced the SnooBi Dogs II. After the first four singles, however, the outsider surprisingly led 3–1, which of course was great for the atmosphere (the watchword being: not a whitewash). Before the last two doubles the match was still level at 8:8. But as in the previous doubles, the Undertaker won every doubles game and deservedly took it 10:8 in the end. Those involved still rave about that final today...

The later finals:

From 2017 the board reported only winners and placings, no longer the scores. In 2017 and 2018 no VDH cup was played at all: the annual general meeting decided to run it itself again only on 27 May 2018. For 2019 and 2021 the winner is not on record, and the 2020 competition was broken off.

Facts:
The Undertaker took part in every final except in 2013, and won every one of them except in 2016.

Shaine Beal is the only player to have played in every final – in 2013 for the Underdogs, in the other years for the Undertaker.

In April 2009 a number of members travelled to Munich together with the chair and the deputy chair to represent the DU at a major tournament. It came about through the old contacts with the Merkur league. The participants had been determined beforehand in several DU qualifying tournaments.

The first season started with 26 teams in calendar week 41 (9–15 October 2006)¹ in one A league, two B leagues and two C leagues. At the start 188 members were registered; over the course of the season the number rose to 215.

The first champion in the A league was DC No Ma'Am from Hameln.

¹Only the playing week was fixed; the team captains had to agree on a day of the week themselves.

55 people were present at the founding. The founding date is 17 September 2006, and on 22 December 2006 the 1. Dart Union 06 e.V. was entered in the Hannover register of associations.

Because of problems in the Merkur league, which administered regional league play throughout Germany from Munich, Jörn and Stefan were already wondering at the Hannover Open in 2000 whether it would not be better to found a league of their own. In 2006 the time had come: the machine manufacturer Merkur had handed the league over to a large machine operator, who shortly afterwards passed the management on to yet another operator — and in the end the prize money never reached the teams in Hannover.
