Dear members,
in view of recent events we would like to say a few more words about our PDC event.
We have heard that many do not "dare" to buy tickets for this event because they think that VDH e. V. wants to enrich itself from it and take the money out of its members’ pockets.
Hold on!!! Stop!!!
We want to offer our members something and finally put on a great event together again. Nothing is further from our minds than enriching ourselves at your expense – on the contrary. The whole thing is meant for you and for the good cause. We had already planned this event for 2020: the contracts with the PDC players were signed and the supporting programme was in place. Unfortunately the coronavirus thwarted our plans and we had to keep postponing the date behind the scenes.
As VDH e. V. we decided in 2019 to hold an event for a good cause once a year. Unfortunately the whole thing fell victim to the coronavirus for the last two years. This year we finally have the chance to come together on a larger scale again, and we as the board are wildly looking forward to finally playing darts and celebrating with you once more.
Once more here, for the sake of transparency:
A ticket costs EUR 20.00 for a member, a leg against a PDC player costs EUR 5.00, and a raffle ticket for the planned tombola will probably cost one euro. Every ticket also has the chance of being drawn for a show doubles, and all that free of charge. Contact with the players is also welcome, and the four of them are booked for photos and autographs until the evening.
Unfortunately we do not know who stirred up the rumour mill and claimed that a) we want to enrich ourselves, b) playing against a PDC player is supposed to cost EUR 50.00, and c) photos and autographs have to be paid for on top.
Every euro taken in besides ticket sales goes to Hand in Hand für Kinder in the region.
We hope that at this point we have been able to shed a little light on the matter and on the rumour mill.
Come on everyone, make an effort and buy plenty of tickets for this event. You can get tickets on the dates given at our office, or from Torsten Hagemeier by telephone or e-mail at 1.vorsitzender@vdhev.info .
