Statement on the misappropriation VDH e.V. 100% 100% 2022-07-29 09:37:04 Vereinigte Dartliga Hannover e.V.
Dear members,

unfortunately we are again forced to write such a letter, and it breaks our hearts that we have to raise this at all.

Word may already have gone round in one or two teams that the VDH is facing an accusation of breach of trust. We as the board are said to have misappropriated 56,000 euros over recent years. This insinuation hit us like a slap in the face.
How does anyone get the idea of putting such stories about without solid proof? Has anyone considered that such accusations damage the club? That such insinuations could have serious consequences – for the club as well as for its board members?
After we had all collected ourselves, sat down together and deliberated, we started to look into the accusations, and by now we also know which way the wind is blowing here. The executive board has already contacted a lawyer and reserves the right to take further legal steps.
If there is any useful information on this matter, you are welcome to contact us at any time. We are grateful for every hint that sheds light on the matter.
Likewise, those who put these lies into the world and spread them have the opportunity to contact us. We would still like to try to reach an amicable settlement.
As a club and as voluntary helpers elected by you, we are deeply shaken by such slander. We put a lot of time and energy into planning and running the season, the league administration, the cup, the ranking, events and so on, in order to give you the chance to pursue your hobby.
If there is mistrust towards us among the teams, do speak to us: we will arrange an appointment and every active member has the chance to look at our account books and ask questions about income and expenditure. After the last annual general meeting the accounts were examined by two elected auditors from among our members, approved by them and discharged. If such a huge pile of money had gone missing, it would surely have been noticed.
We hope that we have the trust of the remaining 99 % of our members that we need in order to do our work to your satisfaction, that these accusations are cleared up and that we can get on with our work in peace.

With sporting regards

Your board of VDH e. Statement on the misappropriation 2022-07-29
