V., <br> <br> from now on we will supply you regularly with a newsletter containing news, activities, dates and so on. <br> This newsletter contains a review, current news and a preview. <br> <br> <u>Review of October 2023:</u> <br> On 1 October 2023 we held this year’s annual general meeting. 72 of 1,088 members attended. Not very many, but an increase of over 100 % (33 members) on 2022. <br> A new executive board had to be elected. As Hans-Peter Pape (deputy chair) and Nadine Grosser (treasurer) did not stand again, these two positions had to be filled anew. Torsten Hagemeier (chair) was available for election. <br> After the election, the new executive board was made up as follows: <ul> <li>Torsten Hagemeier, chair </li> <li>Alexander (Balu) Bergen, deputy chair </li> <li>Peter Witterhold, treasurer </li> </ul> With Alexander (Balu) Bergen moving up and Nadine Groser leaving (who also held the post of secretary), these positions have to be filled anew. <br> A call was now launched at the meeting, as well as via social media, the website and so on. The new board should be in place by November 2023. <br> Change per the 2023 annual general meeting: <ul> <li>From the 2024 season the annual fee is now EUR 20, payable by 31 January 2024 </li> <li>From 1 February 2024 the annual fee is EUR 25 (EUR 20 annual fee + EUR 5 processing fee) </li> <li>The landlord fee has also been set back at EUR 50 </li> </ul> <u>As of November 2023:</u> <br> On 6 November 2023 we held our monthly board meeting, where the most important agenda item was this: <ul> <li>Filling the vacant board positions </li> </ul> Regarding the sports officer: <br> We had four candidates here, all of whom were invited to our office for an interview. <br> Two candidates then did not appear, and with the remaining two we largely agreed, so we took both onto the board. <br> The new sports officers are: <ul> <li>Niklas Meyer, county sports officer, and </li> <li>Zbigniew (Speedy) Bazik, sports officer support (open to expansion) </li> </ul> For the post of secretary we had NO candidates, so the executive board had to develop a plan B – and found one. The new secretaries, in a job share, are: <ul> <li>Franziska (Franzi) Hoffmann and </li> <li>Diana Hagemeier </li> </ul> Sporting event: <br> On 4 November 2023 our cup winner was decided in a Final Four. As in the two previous years, the winners are the "Ricklinger Moskitos". <br> Congratulations on this achievement <br> <br> On 25 November 2023 we will decide a club champion for each division for the first time. Play takes place that day at four different venues. Further information will follow separately and directly to the teams involved (first-placed teams / group winners: note the date). <br> <br> <u>Preview of December 2023:</u> <br> On 4 December 2023 our regulars’ meeting takes place as usual, followed by a board meeting. On 9 December 2023 our season final tournament takes place at the Ricklinger Freizeitheim. Information on this will follow separately. <br> Then on 16 December 2023, to round off the year, the ranking final tournament. <br> P.S.1: team registrations for the new 2024 season are already running and are open until 3 December 2023.
